TurtleBytes

2009

TurtleBytes is a flash game, made during the Summer Game Dev 2009, a summer school for game students organised by the Dutch Game Garden. The concept of the game is simple: help the turtle escape the approaching poison cloud by using his long neck to grab on to other fleeing animals, and try not to be eaten in the process.

The game was designed and developed by a team of six people; apart from me that were Thomas Noppers, Joeri van Ees, Daniël Harmsen, Marries van de Hoef and Ferry Keesom. Apart from game design, I took care of the 3D art: I designed, built and animated all the animals in the game, and made the menu background and game over screens.
